I quite liked this. At first I was thinking, 'bleh, nah, not another Flash-sit-com'. I think the joke was good, and it wasnt a 'Flash-sit-com' by typical standards.
And you played the political trump card too. It sounds about right, but you cant argue with it incase you look like you dont know your current-events. :)
